To the sea, I stared as the sun shone it's last rays of light under the horizon. My black hair was blown back by the salty sea breeze and I remained as still as a statue. Far ahead, a battle ship carried the warriors out to battle, to fight for our people's right to the land. I didn't know if they could see me, but nevertheless, I raised my palm and waved one last farewell before turning my back and began the long walk back to the village. I never saw my brothers again after that day.
